Saturday 5th of July 2014 the exhibition of wooden ship models (event) took place at the Maritime
Museum of Litohoro, work of manufacturer/designer Mr. Maras Dimitrios.
The President of Maritime Museum Mr. Triantafyllou John after he welcomed the people who came
to the event invited the Deputy Mayor of Dion-Olympus Mr. Farmakis George for a short greeting.
Later on the President of Maritime Museum of Litohoro (M.M.L.) addresed a short speech and then
he invited the former President of M.M.L. Mr. Vlahopoulos Nick where he was awarded the title of
Honorary President of Maritime Museum of Litohoro

(after a unanimus desicion of the Board of
Directors of M.M.L.) along with a commemorative award in recognition of his work. After the
speech of Mr. Nick Vlachopoulos the people went to the exhibition of wooden ship models, where
the tour was made by the manufacturer Mr. Dimitri Mara.
The ribbon opening cut was done from the Deputy Mayor Municipality Dion-Olympus Miss Sophia
Zourzoura with Mr. George Farmakis. In this exhibition there are sixty-six (66) ship models and in
August the number will exceed one hundred (100). To the people who visited the exhibition were
created good impressions with the construction and history of the exhibits (which appears to the
public in Greek and English language).
Among the people were from the political arena: the Deputy Mayors Mr. Pharmakis George, Mr.
George Eleftheriou Mrs. Zourzoura Sophia, Mr. Lappas Nikolaos, Mrs. Mohla-Farmaki Evangelia,
Mr. Nikolaos Koloniaris. From Cultural Group of Litochorou lady Koukioti Niki, Mrs.Giannaka
Lela, Mrs Kampisiou, Vice president of Municipal Choir John Sakellaridi Mr. Chryssikos
Panagiotis. Also attended a representative of the XXIV Armored Brigade of Litochorou, the
Harbour Master Platamonas and other people.
The exhibition will start from 5th of July 2014 and end in 31st of August 2014, operating hours
20:00 till 22:30 daily.
